The Beatles: Paul McCartney responded to John Lennon's criticism with a love song. Posted on 15 Jun, 2021
THE BEATLES: John Lennon and Paul McCartney had radically different approaches to writing music, and McCartney finally retaliated against his former bandmate.
The Beatles disbanded in 1970, and each member went their separate way. Not only did George Harrison and Ringo Starr launch their separate careers with the Plastic Ono Band, but John Lennon also composed and performed with them. Paul McCartney did the same thing, forming his band, Wings, with his wife Linda McCartney. However, throughout his time with Wings, McCartney used the band's fame to retaliate against his critics, including erstwhile pal John Lennon.
